Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED and First Aid

We cannot always rely on 911 alone, and we cannot choose the type of emergency. The response to an emergency may require knowledge of both CPR and Basic First Aid. At eCPRcertification.com we strongly encourage our students to take both courses so you are prepared to be in control of the situation until emergency responders arrive. The coursework has been developed with concentration on action. Knowing your plan of action will allow you to correctly administer care during a crisis.

The goal of this course is to teach critical skills to perform Adult and Pediatric Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and provide First Aid in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.

At the end of this course, students will be able to:

• Describe the importance of CPR and its impact on survival
• Recognize symptoms of sudden cardiac arrest and understand the steps of the Chain of Survival
• Describe the steps to perform ventilation by using barrier device
• Describe the steps to perform adult, child and infant CPR
• Understand the use of AED in timely and safe manner
• Understand the contents of First Aid Kit
• Assess and provide first aid treatment to victims with bleeding, wounds, shock and burns
• Assess and provide first aid treatment to victims with life-threatening poisoning or choking emergency
• Assess and provide first aid to victims with exposure to extreme temperatures
• Assess and provide first aid to victims with musculoskeletal as well as eye injuries
